THE HOUSE ON SATHORN has an impressive courtyard adjoined to the W Hotel. It is a colonial mansion built in 1889, once an ambassador’s house, and now a Thai national heritage home. It is a unique venue in the heart of Bangkok, and I love the property’s location and design.

The legendary MANDARIN ORIENTAL Bangkok offers the magnificent Royal Ballroom for weddings. With its opulent feel and elaborate chandeliers, Mandarin Oriental is sure to please. Steeped in history, it’s a thrill to photograph this famous landmark on the Chao Phraya River.

In downtown Bangkok, SOFITEL BANGKOK Sukhumvit boasts commanding views across the city. The location makes it very accessible for your wedding day. I love the view from the rooftop of this hotel; it’s perfect for a sundown photoshoot!

Alternative Bangkok Wedding Venues

JIM THOMPSON HOUSE showcases the American entrepreneur who revived the Thai silk industry. The traditional Thai-style building also serves as a museum. Lush tropical gardens surround the house, providing a perfect backdrop for a romantic wedding ceremony. Its dark wooden panels make it an ideal backdrop for a Bangkok Wedding Photographer.

CHAKRABONGSE VILLAS, on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, is in the heart of Old Bangkok. Prince Chakrabongse built Chakrabongse House in 1908. He used it for royal ceremonies in the Grand Palace. I love the location opposite Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), which makes a spectacular backdrop for wedding photos.

MIKKELLER is a microbrewery founded in 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, Mikkeller Bangkok introduces cozy fine dining and craft beer pairing under Chef Dan Bark. This craft beer stronghold is one of the charming mid-century houses scattered around Ekkamai. I have been a Bangkok wedding photographer at one of the quirkiest venues, and you should not miss the beer!
