United Nations Women

UN Women, as the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women, serves as a global champion for women and girls worldwide. Its primary objective is to accelerate progress in meeting their needs on a global scale.
Encouraging women’s leadership and equal participation in governance systems. Promoting women’s economic autonomy and ensuring income security through decent work opportunities. Striving for a life free from all forms of violence for all women and girls. Empowering women and girls to contribute significantly to building sustainable peace and resilience, and ensuring their equal involvement in disaster prevention, conflict resolution, and humanitarian action.
Additionally, UN Women coordinates and advances gender equality efforts within the broader UN system. It actively participates in deliberations and agreements related to the 2030 Agenda, positioning gender equality as fundamental to the Sustainable Development Goals and striving for a more inclusive world.
