Kendell & Eoin | Ban Sairee Koh Samui Wedding

Epic Baan Sairee Koh Samui Wedding

The beaches on the South coast of Koh Samui were the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was nothing short of sensational! Kendell and Eoin tied the knot at the luxurious Ban Sairee resort, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Thailand and the verdant tropical foliage of the island.
Their ceremony was held in the late afternoon on the lawns of Ban Sairee. Set beneath towering coconut trees they had their own private beach in the background with views across the ocean.
After a sunset photoshoot, it was time to party! The reception was an absolute feast for the senses. Mouth-watering Thai cuisine, flowing cocktails, and a DJ who knew exactly how to get everyone on the Ban Sairee dance floor!

Ban Sairee Koh Samui

Ban Sairee is one of my favorite venues for a wedding anywhere in Thailand. Positioned on a beautiful secluded beach on the south of Koh Samui island, Ban Sairee has 3 acres of private beach-front luxury. Designed as an authentic Ayutthaya-style Thai residence, Ban Sairee villas offer an ideal haven in exclusive yet natural surroundings.
Being a wedding photographer at Ban Sairee Koh Samui Thailand is an absolute dream come true! The turquoise blue water, sandy beaches, and lush greenery make for the perfect backdrop for any couple’s special day.
As soon as I step foot onto this beautiful island, I know I’m in for a wild ride. From navigating the bustling streets of Chaweng to finding the perfect hidden gem of a location for a pre-wedding shoot. On the day of the wedding, I arrive at the villa with my camera in hand, ready to capture every magical moment.

Laem Sor Koh Samui

My favorite part of Koh Samui is the serene and secluded Laem Sor beach area, located in the southern part of the island. This unexplored gem offers a glimpse into the Koh Samui of old before it became a tourist hotspot. With its tranquil island-village atmosphere, Laem Sor is a perfect coastal retreat for those seeking peace and serenity amidst lush tropical surroundings.
The area mainly comprises a small coastal village with a few bays that offer secluded tropical beaches dotted with coconut palm trees bending over water at unbelievable angles. Laem Sor has a unique ambiance that was once prevalent throughout Koh Samui. As well as Ban Sairee, there is the delightful Villa Kalyana plus a number of newer but impressive villas along the coast.
Getting to Laem Sor is easy, with a 20-minute drive from Lamai Beach and a 35-minute drive from Chaweng Beach. Samui Airport is approximately an hour away. Ferries from Phuket to Koh Samui are also available, with a 30-minute trip from Nathon Pier. The journey by road is equally enjoyable, with a choice of routes through rainforest-covered hills or along the beautiful coastline.

Laem Sor Weddings

Laem Sor is perfect for Koh Samui weddings. Although the southern beaches of Samui may not be suitable for swimming, Laem Sor offers unmatched privacy and sophistication. With no nightclubs or shopping areas, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the quiet tropical paradise.
Luxurious beachfront villas and a few beach bars and fine dining establishments make Laem Sor a self-sufficient destination. The main attraction is Wat Laem Sor, which features a golden-looking Pagoda perched on the water’s edge at the headland of Laem Sor beach. Visitors can also explore the nearby meditation forest and enjoy stunning views over to the neighboring islands of Koh Tan and Koh Matsum.
The snow-white stupa known as Khao Chedi, which was erected over 100 years ago, sits on top of a steep hill above Ban Khao Bay and is surrounded by various statues of Buddha. The view over the bay and the islands and mainland beyond is an added bonus.
