Chai Lai Orchid Eco Lodge near Chiang Mai, Thailand hosted Masha and Dmitriy’s beautiful wedding. The Chai Lai Elephant Rescue is deep in the lush mountain jungle near Doi Inthanon.

In Thailand, majestic Asian Elephants symbolize the essence of the land. An elephant wedding ceremony is the epitome of a Thai wedding. It’s a unique celebration of love—perfect for marriages, vow renewals, or a honeymoon. Held amidst the stunning Chai Lai Orchid, with a river and mountains, it’s a dream spot for a Chiang Mai wedding.

After a monks blessing at the local temple in the morning, they held their Chaing Mai wedding ceremony by the river at Chai Lai. We had a photoshoot around the impressive grounds and let off komloy lanterns to celebrate a wonderful evening.

I love the Chai Lai Orchid Eco Lodge near Chiang Mai. They are doing so many good things with their elephants and their charity, Daughters Rising, which empowers the local women. Oh, and it’s also a stunning location for a Thailand wedding!

Protecting Asian Elephants

In the past eight years, Chai Lai Orchid rescued and cared for Asian elephants, allowing baby elephants to stay with their mothers. Guests can help watch for and observe elephants in nature, even swimming with them in the river. Wedding guests learn how to save elephants and their forest home.
