The Rachamankha Chiang Mai Wedding

Nat and Cha’s Chiang Mai wedding at The Rachamankha was a beautiful and enchanting event, taking place during the Yee Peng and Loi Krathong festivals. The setting itself was breathtaking, with the elegant and historic Rachamankha Hotel serving as a stunning backdrop for their celebration in Thailand..
The Yee Peng and Loi Krathong festivals added an extra layer of magic to the occasion. Yee Peng is the festival of lights, where thousands of lanterns are released into the night sky, creating a truly mesmerizing sight. Loi Krathong, on the other hand, is the festival of floating lanterns, where thousands of candle-lit floats are released onto the river, creating a beautiful and serene atmosphere. Nat and Cha’s wedding incorporated elements of both festivals, with lanterns and floating candles adorning the venue.

Chiang Mai Wedding Day

Starting with an early morning trip up to Doi Suthep, a mountain with lush green forests and a picturesque temple, they were able to capture the breathtaking beauty of the sunrise in the North of Thailand.
Afterward, the couple and their guests made their way back into the city for a visit to the stunning Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, a 14th-century Buddhist temple. There, they received a traditional blessing from the monks, adding a sacred and meaningful touch to their special day.
As the day drew to a close, Nat and Cha returned to their hotel, The Rachamankha, to set off komloy lanterns. This was a beautiful and romantic way to end their wedding celebration, and the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for this magical moment.

The Rachamankha Chiang Mai

The Rachamankha Hotel in Chiang Mai is a truly special property, located in the heart of the city’s old moated area. Its central location meant that Nat and her partner and their guests were just a short stroll away from the stunning Wat Phra Singh where the morning’s ceremony took place.
One of the hotel’s most unique features is its peaceful and private atmosphere, which is a rare find in a city hotel. This was likely a welcome respite for Nat, Chaand their guests, allowing them to fully enjoy the festivities and recharge after a busy day.
The hotel’s architecture is also a standout feature, paying tribute to Chiang Mai’s golden age during the Lanna period. This gives the property a unique sense of place and adds to the overall experience for guests.
