Each wedding is a unique story filled with love, joy, and countless precious moments. Not all the wedding galleries feature the many aspects of wedding photography. In this post, I’ll take you through the journey of a wedding day from behind the lens, explaining the different types of photos I capture.
This post showcases only a small selection of the full gallery you will receive. Each wedding is filled with countless moments and details, beautifully captured and included in your gallery. From the big, unforgettable scenes to the subtle, intimate interactions, every photo contributes to the complete story of your wedding day.
Your Wedding Day View
The setting for your wedding is one of the main reasons couples choose a destination wedding, and I love showing this in your images.
Whether it’s a private villa on a quiet beach, a boutique hotel in the mountains, or a luxury hotel in a bustling city, I make sure to include the breathtaking locations that make your wedding unique.
Featured photos showcase a variety of stunning settings: a beautiful wedding in Koh Tao, Thailand; the picturesque landscapes of Sapa in Northern Vietnam; and the luxurious Intercontinental Samui Taling Ngam Bay in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Your Venue Overview
With the help of a camera in the sky, my drone captures breathtaking overviews of your wedding venue. This aerial perspective allows me to showcase the full beauty and scale of your chosen location, the overall layout of your event.
The featured photos are from Song Saa Private Island in Cambodia, Four Seasons Chiang Mai in Thailand, and The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort.
Getting Ready
Your wedding day typically begins with the excitement and anticipation of the bridal preparations.
As the bride and groom prepare, I document the candid moments of laughter, nerves, and loving support from friends and family. These behind-the-scenes shots are filled with raw emotion and set the stage for the day ahead.
In these photos, you’ll see a flower girl in Phuket, a groom in Phang Nga, Thailand, a bride with her bridesmaids in Luang Prabang, and a bride getting ready at Banyan Tree Koh Samui.
Your Wedding Details
I always capture the delicate details—the wedding dress, shoes, rings, and other accessories—each piece telling a part of the couple’s story.
Pictured are the bride’s dress in Canggu, Bali; the bridesmaids’ bouquets in Nha Trang, Vietnam; wedding rings at Banyan Tree Samui, and the groom’s shirts in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Bride Arriving
The bride arriving at the ceremony is the most eagerly anticipated moment of the day and often produces some of the most striking images. This pivotal moment is charged with emotion, anticipation, and joy, creating a perfect opportunity for photos.
In these images, you’ll see the bride walking across the lawn at COMO Point Yamu in Phuket, descending the wooden staircase at Six Senses Koh Yao Noi, arriving on the deck at Trisara, Phuket, and walking out onto the stunning Baba Nest at Sri Panwa in Phuket.
Your Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony is the main event of the day, with many important moments to capture after the bride’s arrival.
Your ceremony is where the heart of the wedding unfolds, featuring key moments such as the vows, the ring exchange, and the first kiss. It’s also essential to capture the reactions of your guests and the beauty of the ceremony location.
Featured are a beachside ceremony at Ban Sairee on Koh Samui, Viewpoint Resort on Koh Tao, and Palm Hills in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Celebrating with Family and Friends
The moments immediately following your ceremony are often overlooked as photographers typically prepare for group photos. However, this time presents some of the most genuine and natural photo opportunities.
It’s a fleeting period filled with raw emotions, spontaneous reactions, and authentic interactions between you, your spouse, and your loved ones. These candid moments capture the essence of joy, relief, and love just after you’ve said “I do.”
Couple's Photoshoot
Not all couples want a long photoshoot becasue they prefer to spend time with their family and friends. However, capturing a few intimate moments of just the two of you in your chosen location adds a special touch to your wedding album.
The photos captured are all from stunning locations in Thailand, including Koh Samui, Phuket, and Koh Tao.
Wedding Party Photoshoot
Another important aspect of your wedding album is the wedding party photoshoot. These are the people you’ve handpicked to stand by your side on your special day, and capturing these moments is essential. I like to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere during this session, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and natural in front of the camera.

Wedding Traditions
Wedding traditions play a significant role in adding a unique touch to your special day. From the grand entrance of the bride and groom to the ceremonial cake cutting, heartfelt speeches, and the elegant champagne tower, these moments deserve to be captured.
Each tradition carries its symbolism and sentiment, reflecting the couple’s style. Whether it’s the joyful toss of the bouquet or the exchange of rings, I ensure to document these moments with attention to detail and artistic flair.
Cultural Customs & Traditions
With my weddings held across Southeast Asia and couples from diverse backgrounds worldwide, I have the privilege of photographing many cultural customs and traditions.
In Thailand, these may include a monk’s blessing or a water blessing, both deeply rooted in Thai culture. Other traditions across the region might include a Mendhi party, a Chinese tea ceremony, the Jago ceremony, a Baci ceremony in Laos, or the magical release of komloy lanterns in Thailand.
Photos are of a couple with monks in Mae Sariang, Thailand; a Mendhi party on Koh Samui; a tea ceremony on Inle Lake, Myanmar; and releasing komloy lanterns in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Your Reception Setting
A great deal of effort goes into creating your reception setting, and I make sure to capture it in its pristine state before anyone sits down. This is your chance to remember and cherish the ambiance, decor, and meticulous details that set the tone for your evening’s celebration.
Featured photos are the secluded luxury of Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam, the stunning Sava Villas in Phang Nga, Thailand, and the majestic temples of Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Wedding Entertainment
A lot of thought usually goes into your wedding entertainment, and I always capture these memorable moments.
Whether it’s the island’s hottest DJ spinning tunes, a talented live band rocking your guests, a captivating traditional dance performance, or a mesmerizing fire show that lights up the night sky, it adds its unique flair to your celebration.
Pictures are of a traditional dance in Siem Reap, Cambodia; a rock band in Hanoi, Vietnam; Ukrainian dancers (who are part of the wedding party) in Phuket; and a fire show on Koh Phangan, Thailand.
Your Party!
The party kicks off with the first dance, a moment when all eyes are on the newlyweds. As your guests toast, cheer, and join in the dancing, the energy and excitement build into a lively celebration.

Your Depature
The tradition of couples leaving their wedding after the ceremony to start their honeymoon has evolved. While some couples still like to have a formal exit, it’s good to know they will return to continue their celebration!
