Nicola & Dan’s wedding at the stunning Six Senses Yao Noi Hideaway. Koh Yao Noi is a beautiful small island between Phuket and Krabi provinces in southern Thailand.

Nicola & Dan chose the beautiful Six Senses Koh Yao Noi in Thailand for it’s stunning wedding location. The ceremony took place on a grassy headland overlooking the incredible vista of Phang Nga Bay. The James Bond Island, Koh Tapu, in Khao Phing Kan Bay, has made this area famous. Their wedding reception was on a private terrace at The Hilltop Restaurant with the same magnificent views.

Koh Yao Noi

Koh Yao Noi, which translates to “Small Long Island,” sits in the heart of Phang Nga Bay, between Phuket and Krabi. With its strategic location, it is a 45-minute boat ride away from Phuket and only 20 minutes by boat from Krabi.

Unlike the larger islands in Thailand, Koh Yao Noi has kept that rustic island charm. The majority of Koh Yao Noi’s inhabitants are Chao Lay, also referred to as Sea Gypsies. Almost the entire populace of the island practices Islam.

As well as rice paddies, fishing and sea farming play a significant role in the island’s economy.
