Billy & Viv | Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle

Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle Elopement Wedding

Billy and Viv had an incredible engagement at the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. This fantastic camp is near Chiang Rai in NorthernThailand.
Their journey began in Vancouver, Canada, and spanned thousands of miles to arrive at the luxurious Four Seasons Tented Camp. We started with a tranquil boat ride along the Namkhong River, taking in the breathtaking scenery. After the peaceful journey, we continued to the charming town of Chiang Saen, where they received a special blessing from the local monks.
Later in the day, the adventure continued with a majestic elephant ride up to a breathtaking viewpoint. After the ride, we met at the Burma Bar to enjoy refreshing cocktails and picturesque views of the Ruak River basin and Elephant Camp. A gentle breeze and soft music played in the background, making it a perfect way to unwind after a day filled with excitement and adventure!

Chiang Rai Thailand

Chiang Rai is a captivating city in northern Thailand, nestled in the mountainous province of the same name. It shares borders with Laos and Myanmar (Burma). One of the city’s notable attractions is Wat Phra Kaew, a royal temple that once housed the precious jade Emerald Buddha. While the original statue is now in Bangkok, Chiang Rai’s Wat Phra Kaew showcases a replica and boasts exquisite architecture.
Nearby, the Navel City Pillar is a monument of over 100 Khmer-style pillars. This significant landmark holds cultural and historical significance and symbolizes the city’s center. Exploring the area provides insight into the rich heritage of Chiang Rai. Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park is a must-visit museum that displays many Lanna artifacts. Situated within the beautiful Mae Fah Luang Gardens
Chiang Rai Night Bazaar is a delightful experience with local crafts, delicious street food, and a lively atmosphere. The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) is another iconic landmark renowned for its intricate architectural design.

The Golden Triangle

Did you know the Golden Triangle region has several fascinating and unique animals? One of the most famous is the Irrawaddy dolphin, found in the Mekong River that flows through the region. These dolphins have round heads and short, blunt snouts.
The region is also home to various other animals, including elephants, tigers, leopards, and a wide range of bird species. The area is a popular destination for birdwatchers worldwide who glimpse some of the region’s rare and exotic species.
Of course, the Golden Triangle is also known for its association with the drug trade, but even this has a certain level of intrigue and excitement. Explore opium dens or delve into the history of the drug trade and smugglers in the region if you’re feeling adventurous.

Four Seasons Tented Camp

This luxury tented camp provides a secluded retreat in a serene bamboo forest on Thailand’s northern border. Inspired by 19th-century safari camps, it offers breathtaking views of Myanmar and Laos. Highlights include engaging with rehabilitated elephants and tailor-made Chiang Rai city tours.
As the sun sets, guests can unwind at Burma Bar, sipping on a refreshing cocktail while soaking in the jungle’s beauty. Later, a delectable dining experience awaits at Nong Yao Restaurant, an open-air pavilion with a charming thatched roof. The restaurant offers breakfast every morning and presents two dinner menus. One features Western cuisine, and the other regional flavors with Thai, Burmese, and Laotian specialties.
